Blind repairs
Roller blinds are the most common repair we see: a chain that slips, a clutch that no longer holds, or fabric that has crept to one side and rubs on the bracket. Most are fixed in one visit with the right replacement part.
- Roller blinds - clutch and chain replacement, spring re-tensioning, re-rolling fabric that tracks sideways, bracket and idler swaps
- Venetian blinds - snapped lift cords, ladder tape, tilt mechanisms that no longer turn the slats
- Vertical blinds - broken carriers and stems, chain and weight replacement, single replacement slats matched to the existing fabric
- Roman blinds - cord locks, chain controls, re-stringing and re-fitting the headrail
- Panel glide blinds - jammed carriers and panels that no longer stack evenly
Curtain and track repairs
Curtains rarely fail; their tracks do. Gliders wear out, corded tracks jam, and heavy blockout drapes pull fixings out of plaster. We repair or replace the track and re-hang the existing curtains so you keep the fabric you chose.
- Tracks and rods that have pulled away from the wall or ceiling - re-fixing into solid timber or masonry anchors
- Worn or broken gliders, carriers and end stops on standard and S-fold tracks
- Corded track repairs - re-cording, cord tensioners and jammed pulleys
- Motorised curtain tracks that stall, run slowly or no longer respond to the remote
- Re-hanging and re-pleating curtains after a track replacement or a renovation
Shutters, doors and screens
The same technicians look after plantation shutters, security doors and fly screens, so one visit can cover everything in the house.
- Plantation shutters - louvre tension, dropped panels, hinge and magnet adjustments
- Security doors - lock and closer replacement, re-meshing damaged stainless mesh, realigning a door that catches

Common repair questions
- Do you repair blinds and curtains that Maple Blinds didn't install?
- Yes. Most of our repair work is on blinds, curtains and shutters fitted by other companies or bought off the shelf. If the part is still made we can usually source it; if the product is discontinued we will tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.
- Is it worth repairing a roller blind or should I replace it?
- If the fabric is in good condition and the fault is in the chain, clutch, spring or brackets, a repair is normally the cheaper option and the blind will run like new. If the fabric is sun-damaged, frayed or delaminating, replacement is the better long-term call. Send us a photo and we will give you a straight answer before anyone comes out.
- My roller blind won't stay up or rolls up crooked. Can that be fixed?
- Almost always. A blind that drops on its own usually has a worn clutch or a chain that is slipping; a blind that rolls crooked has fabric that has crept along the tube or a bracket that has moved. Both are standard onsite repairs and rarely need the blind to be taken away.
- Do you repair curtain tracks?
- Yes - curtain track repairs are a big part of what we do across Melbourne. We re-fix tracks that have pulled out of the wall, replace worn gliders and carriers, re-cord corded tracks and swap out failed motors on motorised tracks. Where a track is beyond repair we fit a new one and re-hang your existing curtains.
- Which areas do you cover for repairs?
- We are based in Craigieburn and travel across Melbourne for repair work - from the northern suburbs like Roxburgh Park, Mickleham, Epping and Greenvale through to the inner city and the south-east. Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we will confirm a visit.
- What should I send you before a repair visit?
- A photo of the blind or curtain from the front, a close-up of the faulty part (chain, bracket, track or motor) and a rough idea of the window size. That lets us bring the right parts the first time. Repairs are covered by our 1-year repair warranty.
