- Are made-to-measure curtains worth it over ready-made?
- For full-height windows, sliding doors and anything you look at every day - yes. Ready-made panels come in fixed drops that rarely match Melbourne's 2.55 m and 2.7 m ceilings, so they either puddle or float. Made to measure fits the window exactly, uses heavier fabric, and is hung straight by an installer.
- Curtains or blinds - which should I choose?
- Blinds win on tight budgets and wet areas; curtains win on softness, insulation and that full-height designer look. Many of our Melbourne installs combine them - blinds for function, sheers over the top for the finish. We'll give you a straight recommendation room by room at the measure.
- What is an S-fold curtain?
- S-fold (also called wave fold) is a track system that holds the fabric in soft, even ripples that stay uniform whether the curtain is open or drawn. It's the style behind most of the curtain photos in our gallery and the most requested finish in new builds.
- How long do custom curtains take?
- Allow roughly 2-6 weeks from check-measure to installation depending on the fabric, then about half a day on site for a typical home. We confirm the exact timeline when we quote.
